Widows Connect
The church is directed to protect and provide appropriate care for widows.
1 Timothy 5:3-16
The Widows Connection is administered by the Pastoral Care Ministry over widow co-leaders. It has been established to meet the identified needs in three categories:
1) Spiritual
Understanding and living with grief
Basic faith in God, believing God still has a purpose and plan
Participation in other church group activities and Bible study
2) Social
Coping with being alone
Developing new friendships
Maintaining relationships with family, old friends and couples
Setting appropriate boundaries
3) Practical
Financial guidance/estate planning/budgeting
Home/Auto Care
Housing direction: remain or relocate
Widows Connection is also supported from a skilled, talented and trustworthy volunteer group within the church. This includes handyman repairs and assistance when a second set of ears needed for bids plus professional advice.
